General Measures: Remove patient from area of exposure.
INHALATION: Remove to fresh air, keep warm and quiet, give oxygen if breathing is difficult. Seek medical attention.
INGESTION: Dilute by drinking 1-2 cups of water. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention. Never induce vomiting or give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
SKIN: Remove contaminated clothing, brush material off skin, wash affected area with soap and water. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.
EYES: Flush eyes with lukewarm water, including under upper and lower eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.

11 TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Acute and Chronic Effects:
Indium Compounds: In laboratory animals, indium-tin oxide was found to increase cancer risks through inhalation. Indium-tin-oxide showed much higher toxicity than indium oxide. The soluble salts of indium were very toxic when given intravenously.
Tin Compounds: Exposure to tin oxide dust and fume is recognized to result in stannosis, a mild pneumoconiosis. Stannosis develops in workers who are exposed to airborne particles of tin oxide whether they originate from dust, as in bagging operations, or from fumes of tin oxide produced in smelting. Inhalation or ingestion of inorganic tin salts are relatively innocuous compared to organic tin compounds, which in general are highly toxic by these routes. Large doses of inorganic tin salts may cause diarrhea, colic, vomiting & general weakness, with paralysis of some parts of the nervous system, and stimulation of others, leading to ataxia, stiffness and irregularity of movement, and occasionally convulsion. There is no experimental evidence that any of the tin compounds are carcinogenic or teratogenic.
